The purpose of the Board of Ministries is to plan for, oversee, and evaluate programs which serve the congregation in the areas of worship, leadership, development, caring, and spiritual growth. Currently, the Church Council has assigned four volunteer committees to be under the jurisdiction of this Board.
- MUSIC COMMITTEE: Coordinating our music ministry
- ALTAR GUILD: Caring for worship artifacts/areas and coordinating sacramental rituals with the pastoral staff
- MEN’S FELLOWSHIP: A social/service group offering fellowship and logistical assistance when needed
- CALLED TO CARE: Sharing our ministry with those with special needs
This is not a finite group of volunteer committees. Any individual or group can petition the Church Council at any time to start a new volunteer committee and if it is assigned to the Board of Ministries for reporting purposes, it will be welcomed with open arms. Also, the Board hopes all members interested in volunteering for one or more of the above-listed committees will contact a Board member at their convenience. The Board solicits your help, your ideas, and your concerns.
The Board of Ministries consists of three members elected by the congregation and members representing the existing volunteer committees under the jurisdiction of the Board.
