Here at First Church there are many ways to get involved and get to know the other members here. So we have put together this neat little brochure to help you out.
How do I join a Group?
At First Church we have a desire for all of our members and friends to be a part of a close knit community that prays with and encourages each other. Part of that community is the Groups that we offer here at our church. It may sound intimidating to go and join a group, so we figured we would give you a little idea of how to do just that.
Joining a group or class is as simple as these 3 steps.
Step 1 – Find a group that interests you.
Step 2 – Find out when they meet.
Step 3 – Show up!
It’s as simple as that! We don’t have a long process of becoming a member of a group or requirements. We just ask that you come and be a part of the First Church Family. It’s not hard and it should never be intimidating. We hope that you will join us as we each experience something different, rewarding and full of the love of God’s family here at First Church.
“Small Groups” are pretty self-explanatory — small groups of people, gathering to bond and grow with one another on more of an interpersonal level. We grow by reflecting on our relationship with God and sharing how we see God working in our everyday lives. Join us. Not just on Sunday!
Small groups are an important part of our faith and may be formed by common interests, age groups, common life experiences, or a number of other factors.
Currently, at First Church, Congregational, there are a number of small groups that have been formed within the congregation. If you have an interest in beginning a small group, we welcome additions. There are endless possibilities. Simply contact the church office by phone or email.
